You know what

"Windows is a system which is so easy to use that even idiots can use it". That was one of the Bill Gates quotes.

And herez the tragedy "If you design a system for idiots, only idiots will use it"

What you have quoted in your blog is definitely impossible. You might have copied it from somewhere, coz Ubuntu always comes with a graphical GUI. 3D effects in Ubuntu or Fedora are far far better than Windows Vista. Maybe Windows Vista will have the same effects in a decade or so.

Problem is not with Linux. You don;t want to give any new thing a chance.

When Windows crashes what do you do?? As per the manual you restart the system. It works fine! Microsoft Rocks......Yup no issues.

The tireless restarting , defrag , reinstall of a system have made people so used to that they have forgotten about what actually a computer is for.

it's not about opening the system, and deleting temp files that go on collecting. If you crash something maybe u press Ctrl+Alt+Del 100 times a day.

Being a linux user, you dont deal with these issues. The issues you deal with are purely logical and once you get around that it's plain paradise.

With windows the solution is "Click here, instead of here and it will work." All windows issues are work arounds. There is no logic in that.

Thats why Windows is for brain-damaged illogical people.

Linux is not the problem, it's you and your way of living the easy way.

Sorry yuvi, I don't know wat went wrong with your linux installation.

The first time I installed linux ( Read My first Linux Experience) in my system, I had my uncle with me (actually he was the one who installed it).

But I tried it second time on my own and everything went perfectly fine. Till now i hav done about 3 linux installations at home itself and many other times at my friends house. I didn't get any problem with it.

I have also tried BSD But the first time I installed it I did some mistakes so it got messed up. But the second time, I installed it successfully. Though BSD is a very good os it doesn't have an intuitive GUI for installation as Linux and solaris(going to try it very soon) requires high main memory for GUI based installation.

Only that it requires a bit of patience and eagerness to try it. Thats it. Try it once again and you will surely appreciate GNU/Linux. Being a computer geek at this young age, you should try different things before jumping to conclusions.

No hard feelings if I have offended you in anyway.

You uh...forgot to tell ubuntu to install a GUI you know the pretty thing that makes windows go vroom! And besides...it would take about 5 more minutes to get an interface and not a command line...

sudo apt-get install gnome

or something like that. And ubuntu messing up your windows installation? You either messed up the partition editing or didnt setup grub right. Linux is do it yourself to the max, you have to know or at least READ the manual before jumping in. Ubuntu has a live boot cd, its what got me turned onto linux.

If you say that linux sucks then, you dont describe about yourself as "I am a Geek and love programming and developing". Silly guy you use some M$ stuff and you speak about Linux??? You suck to the core man...
And watch your words.. you are not old enough (coz you showed you are a kid) to recommend Linux to people...

Well, Aswin that's true : The More I work with Windows, the More I Like it...

But, consider this : I first started working with Windoes some 5 Years back, I had absolutely No Problems with it... Infact, it was simple enough for a dumb 9 year old to learn it himself...

And, yes, it's a lot of pain to do some/many things, and until that changes, I'm not goaana change to Linux... Would you take to something that has all the features you want and is painless or one that has almost all the features you want, but still painful sometimes ?

And, yep, I've not yet explored enough to call it sucks. But, I've atleast tried to Explore, but have always been set back.

But then, if you had read any bit of Sherlock Holmes, then it would've been very much clear that I gave that title because Linux Screwed up my System, more than anything else...:P

Well, it's a matter of Personal Taste as well : I like Windows, you like Linux; I like VB.NET, you like C#; I like Bugsbunny, you like Daffy Duck:P; I like Bread, you Like something else:D

Well, to start with, i wont agree that linux sucks. Its GUI is superb and offers almost all features that windows does.

Second, its a matter of personal choice. The more you work in windows, the more you like it...the same applies to linux also. Ofcourse, it takes a lot of pain to configure USB tools etc. but those things are changing and linux is getting a lot better.

You should try & attend linux community meets. They are as full as the microsoft events. And 1 more thing...you wouldn't have explored enough to call it sucks !
