Thank you!
January 12, 2007 | 1:13 amThanks to all the contributions I recieved (A total of $295), I am now the proud owner of a Canon PowerShot S3 IS. Notice it’s the S3, since it looks like the S2 doesn’t ship anymore. It costed around 20k rupees(18.5k for the Camera and 1.5k for a 2gb Card), which is around $449. I could not have done it without the help of Rob Lagasse, Deannie McNeil, Gareth Clark, Zoltan Edros and Krzysztof Kurowski. Thanks a lot people! You just changed my life a whole freakin lot!
I am leaving in a few hours time to the camp, and will probably not be posting for atleast ten days, but that *might* change, if any of my friends have a GPRS enabled cell phone. I’ll probably come back with my 2GB card full of photographs, Videos(it does 640×480. Yay!), and even audio(It even has a special standalone sound recorder!). Thank you people!
The ChipIn is closed, but if you still want to feel the good feeling that you get when you donate, then
- Sponsor a poor child to lead a better life: Contribute at worldvision.org. You’ll put a bigger smile into a child’s face than mine. And, if you did so, leave a comment, so I too could know that I helped in someway, though I couldn’t financially(yet).
- Go, leave a comment at this Guy’s blog: He’s an IT manager suffering from Cancer.
- Donate to a Charity that’ll make the world better, at http://www.justgive.org/
- Or, if you don’t want to do any of that(shame on you!), paypal me at yuvipanda@gmail.com. Spambots welcome.
Thank you people!
And, next StatBot: Analysis of Wikipedia’s external links, then internal links, then Engadget vs Gizmodo! Will be back!

Official Zooomr Blog : Thanks Yuvi! | January 24, 2007 | 8:43 pm[…] Well the surprise was today to see that Yuvi has decided to host his photos on Zooomr. Recently Yuvi put a post up in order to buy a Canon PowerShot S3 IS digital camera to take photos with and the world community of bloggers and readers was very supportive and donated enough money for Yuvi to get the camera. And so the world is now a more beautiful place because we all get to see it though Yuvi’s eyes and see one more part of this great big world. His photos by the way are superb. Check them out and be sure to leave some comments! […]

Null | February 3, 2007 | 4:34 amHey, congratulations.
I had a query… is 20K the price in India? I checked http://www.jjmehta.com, and they’re selling the same config for about 27K!
@Null: Thanks! Yep, 20K is the price in India, but
Yuvi | February 3, 2007 | 9:22 am@Null: Thanks! Yep, 20K is the price in India, but it’s the price at a local store, without warranty, so maybe that’s the cause of the lower price…
We sponser a child through World Vision. Please do as Yuvi
PeterP | February 14, 2007 | 6:13 amWe sponser a child through World Vision.
Please do as Yuvi suggests and sponser one too. For most people in the Western world, it costs about as much as a couple of pizza’s once a month to change the life of someone who is less fortunate than you to a degree that you can’t even imagine!
Great suggestion Yuvi.
[...] Happy Birthday to me! I know this comes some
StatBot visits The Old New Thing » YuviSense: Kid in Tech | February 15, 2007 | 4:21 pm[…] Happy Birthday to me! I know this comes some 6 days late, but then, I’m lazy and been somewhat sick, so sorry for the delay. This year has been fantastic for me, with me moving to my own hosting space, interviewing Sriram Krishnan and finally deciding my goal in life is to work at Microsoft, this blog getting famous, me making a lot of friends,me buying a camm, and a camp that’s changed my life. Thanks life, and thanks to all the people who’ve made this possible. […]
