Fixing Bugs you never knew existed
June 2, 2007 | 3:00 amIn this blog post yesterday, I wrote the text below. I should not have. It was my mistake. Mistake by inexperience I would say. While I was talking to Engadget about some contract work, we never finalized the discussions, and I should never have posted this. I apologize because I talked about a business arrangement that wasn’t finalized, which I learnt is never a good thing at all. One of the things they teach about in MBA classes I guess
I won’t go into any more detail on this potential business or any others. A friend let me know of this mistake (and on a highly tangential note, this is one of the reasons I love the Internet. Gets me a lot of really cool friends. This kinda explains to me why myspace/orkut/facebook are famous). My friend found the bug, and I think I’ve fixed this bug. Hope there’re enough regression tests in place to make sure it doesn’t pop up again
Now that the site is back to normal, blogging would resume soon. I might not be able to do a link analysis of Engadget, because I sold it to Ryan Block for $300(not yet sealed, so if it goes awry, you’ll get link analysis). But, I’m open to suggestions as to what to do next: Analysis of a particular author? A particular category? Or, a more drilldown analysis of the categories? Comments welcome!
P.S. All people are retarded, to varying degrees in varying directions. I guess I just became a tad less retarded in at least one direction. Thanks for all those who were involved and helped!

Yuvi, Everyone makes mistakes but what really matters is how fast
Sudar | June 13, 2007 | 7:22 amYuvi,
Everyone makes mistakes but what really matters is how fast you are able to learn from them. I am glad that you learned from your mistake.
PS: If you ask me personally, don’t sell it now. It has lot of potential and $300 is very very cheap. Will talk to you sometime later about it when I get some time.
Cheers,
Sudar
