While a P4 2.4 GHz Single Core machine with a Gig of Ram isn't a killer by any means, it can run Visual Studio, Media Player, and quite a number of instances of Office without any trouble. In fact, the most CPU hungry app on my system is Firefox ;) And Zoli, I find myself far more productive with Office '07 than the web suites (I've tried Google's and Zoho's).
