Proof of existence of Girls?

October 28, 2008 | 3:48 pm

A couple of us over on FriendFeed while debating the finer points of, uh, well, nothing.

Wait. Scratch that.

A couple of us over on FriendFeed were just wondering if anyone could prove that girls exist. Anyone?

This is the relevant part of the conversation. So, proof instead of faith, anyone?

Evil Dead

July 1, 2007 | 4:50 am

Overheard in class, quite some time ago. Names obfuscated to protect the guilty:

Chemistry Teacher: Hey Student A! What’re you staring at me for? Do I look like an actress you saw in a film yesterday or what?

Student B, aside to Student C: Yeah, he watched Evil Dead yesterday.

Ain’t School funny? :D

It’s a stipend

May 25, 2007 | 10:49 am

Found this while chatting with Rob. How exactly do you save 150% off a book?  They give you half the price of the book?

Never Quit!

May 24, 2007 | 2:15 pm

Funny:

Still waiting for Mark III, though I think it’s worth the wait. It probably will be up by the time I get up tomorrow morning, because Kristopher’s gotta demo it today evening :D Kinda weird when you write today evening in the future tense at 8 pm, but that’s the Internet for ya!

When you want a laugh…

May 10, 2007 | 3:25 pm

…read this thread on the Java forums. A guy posted this question:

What are the different algorithms in Java? Can someone list me each and its uses?

And, read the 56 responses he’s gotten so far. You could write a book off them…

Here are some samples:

An unattached trunk on the beach may still be a trunk (I think they are collected and installed in American cars)
So, if we could find a good algorithm for counting American cars, the same algorithm might be used to count basket ball playing hippopotamuses.

then you are missing out on a great receipe for elephant soup…

Man, aren’t geeks fun(ny)? I laughed out loud on many of them, but showing them to my brother would’ve gotten me just a blank stare in return. Remind me in a decade: Gotta marry a geek…

Thanks to Abhina (Who works on the VS C# Team) for the link! Is that forum the place where you get ideas for new features from? J

Best Easter Egg, ever

April 16, 2007 | 9:56 am

WPF/E is Silverlight now.

But, if any of us developers had any brains, we should’ve atleast guessed the Silver part of it a long time ago.

The main Javascript file to be included for WPF/E to work was named aghost.js

aghost.js

It seems very obvious now, doesn’t it? According to my eight standard chemistry textbook as well as Wikipedia, Ag is Argentum in Latin, meaning Silver.

So,

aghost.js = silverhost.js

Well, atleast someone at the Silverlight team knew latin or remembered their chemistry lessons…

P.S. I didn’t discover this. This guy revealed it.

Wanna Crossbreed?

March 10, 2007 | 4:35 pm

I never knew Kris and Thomas had expertise in Crossbreeding rats…

[Full Disclosure: This is an attempted joke]

Kris, I wanna go around and explore Zooomr more, but it’s slow now. I know it’s ‘coz you’re waiting to roll out Mark III, BUT FOR DASHIN GOD’S SAKE DO IT SOON! I have holidays waiting to be taken advantage of…

BTW, Kristopher Kate needs a blog. I spent about 20 mins looking for the proper url to link to, and then had to decide wether to link to his profile page or photos page.
